Educational Qualifications:
1. Higher Secondary Part-I from CB Higher Secondary School, Jalandhar Cantt (71.9% in 1970) affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh.
2. 4 years Artificer Apprentice diploma course (Higher mathematics, Machine Drawing, Heat Engines, Electrical Fundamental Engineering, Fitting, Turning, Copper Smithy, wood work, sheet metal work, aircraft finishishes (paintings) etc. at INS Shivaji Lonavala and then Aeronautical Engineering consisting of Aero Engines, Turbines, Compressors, Theory of High Speed Flying and Aircraft Finishes at INS Garuda, Kochi.
3. Master of Arts in Russian Language Litrature and Translation from Delhi University of 1996-98 Batch.
Technical & Professional Qualifications:
1. 4 Years Technical Diploma from Indian Navy with 19.5 years of service experience amounting to Degree in Mech Engineering with 2 years experience.
2. Management and Leadership course at INS Agrani, Coimbatore.
3. Presently serving in Ministry of Defence, as Russian Technical Interpreter / Deputy Manager Translation in SBC (V).
Experience:
(a) Worked as Supervisor & Senior Supervisor on board ships like INS Vikrant, Rana, Rajput, Ranjeet and many Airbases like Base Maintenance Facility, Goa in connection with Hello KA-25 and connected maintenance workshops.
(b) Been twice to Russia for procuring INS Rajput and Ranjit with Hellos KA-25.
(c) In 1991 got selected to Ministry of Defence to work as Russian Interpreter / Translation Officer Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer.
(c) Worked in Army Headquarters for 10 years on translations/interpretation duties in connections with Army Equipment like BMPs, Tanks T-91, T-55 and Russian Vehicles etc.
(d) Since 2001, working in Ship Building Centre, Visakhapatnam in connection with various projects inside / outside the SBC, namely BARC Mumbai, HEC Ranchi, BHEL Trichy and NSTL Visakhapatnam etc. for interpretation and Translation duties.
(e) Inside SBC, worked as Liaison Officer, Archiving Officer and BR/CB Officer for the last 10 years.
